Meet Rod Carey
Rod Carey has the skills to build visions from the ground up. He was born in Newfoundland and spent his young adult life in Ontario attending carpentry trade school. He left the temperate south for sunny and chilly Yellowknife, working in a mine for 15 years. Rod has a knack for absorbing information like a sponge, ever expanding his knowledge and excelling at everything he does.
His last relocation landed Rod to his permanent location in Burns Lake. He fell hard for the wonderful little town, promptly making it his home. He was finally where he was meant to be. The slew of outdoor activities and goodhearted people are what really sold him on Burns Lake..
If you haven’t checked it out already, Rod recommends visiting the world-class biking trails. If a slower-paced activity is more to your liking, a must-see is the host of scenic lakes speckled throughout the region. “They call this the land of the lakes for a reason,” laughs Rod. You may spot Rod out there casting his fishing rod or ripping by on his quad.
